Chuatang (Chu-a-tang) Soup











My friend and I ate this soup in a small, traditional house near his apt. Delicious stuff. It's called "chuatang" and is basically ground-up fish in a thick broth, though it doesn't taste fishy. It was served with lots of rice and side dishes, and was very filling. Not spicy on the first or second bite, but after a while of eating it generated some good body heat.
