I walked through the Friday market yesterday and bought a number of things, including dried seaweed, tofu, apples, dried fried hot peppers, and fresh rice noodles.
For lunch I stopped at this stall and asked for three take-away bowls of (I think I have this right) 묵채, pronounced "mook-chae". It's a mix of strips of acorn jelly, kimchi, cucumber, and seaweed, served with a cold "sauce". One for me and two to share at work. App. $3.50 a bowl. It's a bit unusual but very tasty and healthy.
