Academies

Last Friday I greeted my 4th grade class.

"Happy Friday!"

There were some cheers but also some "No's"

I asked why.

Two students said that they had a lot of homework.

One girl mentioned academies.

She said that she was very tired,

I questioned her about her response.

She said that she goes to 5 academies (after school): English, math, art, swimming, and piano.

Wow . . .
